SAUSAGE SIZZZZLE!

What is Sausage Sizzle?

Six times a year, at the end of every half and full term (normally on a Friday), CLESA take over the dining rooms of Elangeni and Chestnut Lane schools to organise a fundraising ‘sausage sizzle’.

Two weeks before the event forms are sent out to parents to order either a meat or vegetarian meal. The meal consists of one hot dog, a chocolate bar (normally a Kit Kat), a packet of crisps and a drink of squash. There is a charge of £2 for a sizzle meal with the option of ordering an extra hot dog for an additional £1 (so £3 in total).

We are trialling a new option for parents to pay for a whole year’s sizzle in one go. All we ask is that before you choose this option please make sure the requirements you request are correct. We hope this will make things easier for parents and also for the volunteers who help with the ordering, making the lists, etc. This new option can be found on the sizzle forms coming out in October.

N.B If you have a children in one of the early years classes and they finish at 12.00 but are staying for the sizzle, please collect them from their classroom at 12.30pm.

How can you help?

Sausage Sizzles would not be able to go ahead without the help of volunteers. With some families now moving on to secondary school we really need new helpers to allow this event to continue, for instance with cooking sausages (sausages are cooked at home by volunteers and then brought to both schools at designated times) and with serving food. If you would like to help please complete the section at the bottom of the sizzle order form once you have received it.

We look forward to hearing from you.
