Welcome to Rainbow Nursery

Rainbow Class is Chestnut Lane's very own Nursery Class. A key objective of Rainbow Class is the successful, smooth integration of our children from Chestnut Lane Nursery in to Chestnut Lane School.  Our daily activities are designed to pave the way for this smooth and happy transition. We are delighted to offer:

• a high standard of Early Years education
• small class size (maximum 26, but has been under 10) with fully qualified staff
• a chance to mix socially with the same group of children they will be in Reception with
  P.E. once or twice a week in the school hall or outside
• an opportunity to join in with whole school events
• a range of trips, shows and speakers
• weekly use of the school's fully equipped IT room, including an interactive white board
• access to our own fully enclosed garden, complete with shaded and sensory gardens, a play house, growing areas and a wealth of play resources 
• daily use of large school playground with its climbing equipment, slide and shed full of bikes, balls, scooters, etc.
• an opportunity to join Afternoon Club (until 3pm) and / or stay and have lunch with friends

Rainbow Class follows the Foundation Stage Curriculum.
