Information In Case Of Adverse Weather

During the winter we are mindful of the weather and have plans in place in the event of having to close the school due to adverse weather conditions.

My priority is to keep the school open whenever possible with my paramount concern being the safety of the pupils and staff. A decision to close the school is made after careful consideration of a number of issues that include the condition of the school grounds, the staff’s ability to travel to school and staff to pupil ratios.

There are two ways parents can check on the status of the school.

The closures will be listed by 8am:

• On the Buckinghamshire Council’s closure list: closures.buckscc.gov.uk.
  Or go directly to the Buckinghamshire Council website, search for education, schools, school closures.
• On the school’s website.
